MotoGP - Aragon: Iannone runs wide chasing Marquez, hits the wet grass, tries to hold it and stay upright but eventually falls.
The new Ducati GP14.2 tumbles end over end and rips itself apart.

MotoGP - Aragon: Marquez grabs the lead from Iannone into Turn 1 as they begin lap two, but Iannone fights back through the following complex.

DTM - Zandvoort: It's Lap 16 and Ekstrom, the best of the standard runners, is as quick as the rest of the field. From the media centre, directly above the garages, we can hear the rattle guns warming up (literally).
DTM - Zandvoort: Da Costa has inexplicably escaped penalty for spinning Di Resta.
MotoGP - Aragon: The safety car heads off for the pre-race recce lap as a banner is unfurled on the pits straight to mark this being the 800th premier class grand prix.

DTM - Zandvoort: Proper fight for the lead here. Rocky is right on Wittmann's tail. Great racing.
MotoGP - Aragon: This is the first chance to see what Ducati's GP14.2 'evolution' bike can do in race trim too.
Andrea Iannone starts third on one of them, Andrea Dovizioso is only ninth on the other after a crash at the end of qualifying. Ironically Cal Crutchlow got more speed out of the original GP14 than he ever has before and qualified fifth!
Joining Dovizioso on the Q2 shunt list was Bradley Smith. And it was a slightly embarrassing one too: he admitted he let tyre temperature fall too much while dawdling around looking for someone to pinch a tow from, and then crashed on the cold rubber when he started pushing.

DTM - Zandvoort: Paul di Resta's day just took a turn for the worse. The Scot was running well in 9th, but was spun by a dive-bombing Da Costa at turn one. The Portuguese could well be headed fro a drive-through...
MotoGP - Aragon: Marquez ultimately claimed pole by a pretty comfortable 0.362s, although he's adamant that Pedrosa is a threat on race pace.
That was the case here last year, where they ended up colliding, although it was a small touch with big consequences - at least for Pedrosa, while Marquez went on to win.

FR3.5 - Paul Ricard: Sainz crosses the line to take a well-timed, much-needed double victory this weekend, and put himself firmly back in control of the title race.

BTCC - Silverstone: Interestingly, Turkington and Jackson will start race two on the soft tyre, whereas Plato won't use his until the finale.
Last year the soft seemed to be the thing to have, but this year the hard looks good. If that continues, Plato may find it a bit easier in race two despite the fact he'll be carrying 45kg instead of 36kg.

Peugeot 208 driver Timmy Hansen was fastest ahead of championship leader Petter Solberg and Andreas Bakkerud, each setting their best times of the weekend.
Solberg and Bakkerud continuing their fightbacks after having a difficult time on day one.
Anton Marklund, Toomas Heikkinen and Jacques Villeuenve rounded out the top six.

DTM - Zandvoort: AUTOSPORT has just been for a stroll on the grid to check out the new-spec Mercedes that Christian Veitoris is using. Lots of new detail in the front 'flicks', as well as along the side of the car.
FR3.5 - Paul Ricard: Still no sign of Sainz coming in as he makes the most of his clear air - running at a comparable pace to those who have already pitted with more than half the race now completed.
