18 min: New intermediates look to be the wise choice, but late moves from the slick-shod cars can not be ruled out now.
18 min: Ricciardo is now second with Rosberg third, Gutierrez fourth and Hamilton fifth.
18 min: Maldonado crosses the line and he goes quickest with a time of 2m03.072s on new intermediates.
17 min: Better pace for van der Garde now, so he may now be finding some heat in his slicks.
17 min: Time ticking down now, with teams having to send their drivers very shortly due to the long lap.
16 min: Chilton is also slow on his slicks, which are not working for the moment.
16 min: All 22 drivers are on the circuit with just over three minutes of the segment remaining.
16 min: Van der Garde is struggling in the Les Combes region and is slower than his pace on intermediates.
15 min: Van der Garde begins a lap, with all eyes on his pace now to see if leading teams need to react.
15 min: Slicks too for the Caterham pair, with the tail-end drivers taking a big gamble here.
14 min: Chilton heads out of the pits on a set of medium compound slicks.
13 min: So it's two Mercedes up front with Raikkonen third, Alonso fourth, Vettel fifth, Perez sixth and Webber in seventh spot.
13 min: Rosberg takes over at the top of the pile ahead of his team-mate with a time of 2m03.883s.
12 min: The line is drying quite quickly, however, so a gamble on slicks could even be entering consideration, though it looks risky for now.
11 min: Hamilton is now fastest of all with a time of 2m04.618s
11 min: Vettel and everyone else now needs to make the choice between a new set of intermediates, or taking a gamble on a set of slicks.
11 min: Fresh intermediates have proven handy in conditions like this, but teams will not want to burn up another set if they can get away with it.
11 min: Vettel is advised that the rain has almost completely stopped around the circuit. His next quandary is tyre choice.
10 min: Alonso comes around in 2m06.209s to take over at the top of the times.
9 min: Hamilton is off at Les Combes similar to Maldonado, but he is equally able to rejoin the circuit without problem.
8 min: Vettel takes over at the front of the field with a time of 2m06.279s.
8 min: Guteirrez is having a good day so far, clocking second fastest for the moment in his Sauber.
8 min: All 22 drivers have posted a time on the board. Maldonado, di Resta, van der Garde, Bianchi, Pic and Chilton are in the dropzone.
7 min: Grosjean ends his second attempt with a 2m07.111s to go third fastest, temporarily.
6 min: Vettel's opening effort is only good enough for 10th position so far - 2m08.580s.
6 min: Drivers now being told to conserve these intermediates, with track conditions expected to improve.

2 min: Everyone is out on the circuit, as the Williams drivers cross the line and begin a timed lap.
2 min: Rain is widely expected to ease in the next few minutes, but few can predict that accurately here.
2 min: Intermediates are the choice all round as everyone heads off to bank an early laptime.
1 min: Alonso and Massa join the track, as do the McLaren drivers.
1 min: Movement at Red Bull and Vettel is lowered to the floor. He exits the pits.
1 min: Intermediates all round so far as Rosberg, Hamilton and di Resta also head out.
1 min: Raikkonen is one of the leading contenders heading out in these early stages.
