Liuzzi focused on title
Vitantonio Liuzzi insists his attention is firmly focused on securing the F3000 championship this year despite him being linked to several F1 teams, including Ferrari
It was reported last month that Ferrari's general manager Jean Todt had held talks with the Italian with the view of bringing him in as the team's test driver in 2005. The team would then be able to loan him out to affiliates Sauber, whose Red Bull sponsor currently backs Liuzzi, or to Jaguar, who is also involved with the energy drinks giant.
"At the moment I am just focused on my job," Liuzzi said. "We are two races from the end and Enrico Toccacelo is very close."
Liuzzi has dominated F1's support championship and leads the title race by 12 points from Toccacelo with just two rounds remaining.
"I am trying not to dream so much, the main job is being done by my management - I am always the last one to know anything," he added. "I think it is a bit too soon now."
