Carbone goes quickest at Barcelona
Fabio Carbone set the fastest time of this afternoon's Formula Renault 3.5 test session at Barcelona, just edging out morning pace-setter Giedo van der Garde
Carbone had struggled with mechanical problems with his Ultimate-Signature car during the first day and a half of the test but was finally able to lap freely this afternoon and set a best time more than two tenths of a second quicker than anyone else.
Van der Garde continued his strong form with P1 Motorsport in a comfortable second place after setting the quickest time in the morning sessions both yesterday and today.
Carlin Motorsport's Mikhail Aleshin was third fastest, ahead of Draco Racing team-mates Bertrand Baguette and Marco Barba.
