Robbie Kerr to make British F3 return
Out-going British Formula 3 champion Robbie Kerr is to make a one-off return to the series with Alan Docking Racing at Brands Hatch driving the Lola-Dome F106/03
Kerr, who failed to secure a regular race seat for this season, signed on as Lola's test and development driver and has spent the summer months developing Lola's F3 programme.
"I am looking forward to next weekend," said Kerr. "It has been interesting developing such a relatively new car and it will be good to return to the Brands Hatch grand prix track where I won last season."
The Lola-Dome will be an evolution of the one that raced earlier this year in the series and the race is a chance to give the Huntington-based company vital data as it works to complete its 2004-spec chassis.
"A driver of Robbie's quality obviously enhances the development of a new car and we are thrilled that he has decided to race it next weekend, which gives us much needed continuity after his recent tests in the car," said project manager Adam Airey. "So far he has shown that he is a great asset to the project and we believe we can make some real progress at Brands Hatch."
