Qualifying 2: Dahlgren stuns Oulton
Reigning British Formula Ford champion Robert Dahlgren has taken a sensational pole position for the 20th round of the British Formula 3 championship at Oulton Park - a first for a Scholarship car in the history of the championship. The Swede set a time of 1m31.248s during the scholarship class session and held on through the championship class session to take pole by just 0.001s from James Courtney
T-Sport's Clivio Piccione, another scholarship runner, set the third fastest time ahead of race one pole man Heikki Kovalainen, third scholarship driver Billy Asaro and Robbie Kerr.
Adam Carroll, Dahlgren's team-mate at Sweeny Racing and expected to wrap up the class title this weekend, languished in 15th after setting the second fastest time in race one qualifying. Carroll has been at the forefront of the scholarship class this season, even leading a race at Silverstone this season, but this time was outshone by Dahlgren.
The race is scheduled to start at 1630 BST on Sunday.
