Qualifying 2: Dahlgren stuns Oulton

Reigning British Formula Ford champion Robert Dahlgren has taken a sensational pole position for the 20th round of the British Formula 3 championship at Oulton Park - a first for a Scholarship car in the history of the championship. The Swede set a time of 1m31.248s during the scholarship class session and held on through the championship class session to take pole by just 0.001s from James Courtney

Qualifying 2: Dahlgren stuns Oulton

T-Sport's Clivio Piccione, another scholarship runner, set the third fastest time ahead of race one pole man Heikki Kovalainen, third scholarship driver Billy Asaro and Robbie Kerr.

Adam Carroll, Dahlgren's team-mate at Sweeny Racing and expected to wrap up the class title this weekend, languished in 15th after setting the second fastest time in race one qualifying.
