Nurb 2: Green's day

After being forced to play second fiddle to Nico Rosberg yesterday, Jamie Green made amends on Sunday to win the 14th round of the Formula 3 Euro Series to extend his championship lead

Despite starting third on the grid, Green (ASM Dallara-Mercedes) took full advantage when Rosberg (Rosberg Dallara-Opel) got too much wheelspin off the start. As second placed starter Robert Kubica (Mucke Dallara-Mercedes) was on the dirty side of the track, Green was able to outdrag both of them into the first corner to take a lead he would not lose.

Rosberg dropped to fourth by Turn 1, as Lewis Hamilton (Manor Dallara-Mercedes) also got past him, but Nico clung to the outside line and repassed him on the exit to reclaim third. Despite pressuring Kubica in the early laps, Rosberg then fell away, as did Hamilton behind him.

Green kept the gap at the 1.5sec mark to Kubica to rattle off his fourth win of the season. Rosberg maintained his second place in the championship with third, ahead of Hamilton, Alexandre Premat (ASM) and Nicolas Lapierre (Signature-Plus Dallara-Opel).
