Nakajima tops test on Arena circuit
Daisuke Nakajima set the fastest time of Wednesday's British Formula 3 test on Silverstone's new Arena GP layout
The Raikkonen Robertson driver's best effort of the day was a tenth of a second quicker than championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne.
Vergne's Carlin team-mate James Calado was third quickest, and was impressed by the new section of track.
"It's nice to have a change; it's very fast, very flowing, and smooth, apart from one horrible bump at the exit of turn eight, which upset a lot of cars," said Calado. "But for the most part it's very enjoyable."
William Buller (Hitech), Lucas Foresti (Carlin) and National Class leader Menasheh Idafar (T-Sport) completed the top six.
GP2 racers Marcus Ericsson and Christian Vietoris joined the test in West-Tec Dallara Mugen F307s, to learn the new layout ahead of the GP2 round in support of this year's British Grand Prix.
