Monza European Formula 3: Felix Rosenqvist leads practice session
Felix Rosenqvist emerged as the fastest runner in free practice as the Formula 3 European Championship began its Monza weekend

The Swede was one of the few to set his quickest time in the opening 40-minute session, which he topped by 0.312 seconds from Markus Pommer.
In the second session, Rosenqvist's fellow Prema Powerteam runner Jake Dennis continued the good form that netted him a double win last time out in Pau, getting down to a time just 0.018s slower than Rosenqvist's earlier best.
Dennis edged this session by 0.130s from Rosenqvist, the Prema cars running a tiny single-plane element across the top of the rear wing to boost straightline speed.
Pommer was again quick in this session, the Motopark-run reigning German F3 champion pipping Alexander Albon to the third-fastest time.
Albon was in the top six in both sessions in what, remarkably, is the first-ever race weekend at Monza for the Signature team in any category.
Charles Leclerc was in the top five in both sessions to take fifth-fastest overall with Van Amersfoort Racing, the Monegasque pipping the other two Prema cars of Lance Stroll and Brandon Maisano.
Team West-Tec continued the pace shown in Wednesday's test, when Raoul Hyman was a frontrunner, although this time it was Fabian Schiller on form for the team, the German teenager going eighth fastest overall.
The overall top 10 was rounded out by Mucke Motorsport duo Maximilian Gunther and Mikkel Jensen, although Gunther was involved in the incident that provided the only red flag, which came just a few minutes before the end and meant the termination of practice.
His Mucke team-mate Michele Beretta had backed off on the straight out of the Ascari chicane, and the unsighted Gunther hit him, the debris from the incident meaning that the session was stopped.
The Carlin team is yet to show any strong form, with George Russell leading the team's challenge in 11th on combined times and championship leader Antonio Giovinazzi 13th, the duo sandwiching Sam MacLeod.
