Huertas leads the way at Snetterton
Carlos Huertas ended the final British Formula 3 pre-season test with the fastest time as Carlin led the way on the second day at Snetterton
The Colombian lapped the Norfolk venue's new 300 configuration in a 1m39.521s best to top the first of two sessions, and his mark remained unbeaten for the rest of the day.
"I was really pleased with our pace in the morning as I did our quickest time on old tyres," said Huertas. "In the afternoon it got quite a bit warmer, which affected the balance of the car so we just worked around with the set-up."
Team-mate Kevin Magnussen followed up his first test-topping performance of the pre-season on Tuesday by going second fastest. His best lap in the afternoon put him 0.150 seconds adrift of Huertas and edged Double R's Pipo Derani into third by just 0.003s.
Derani's fellow Brazilian's Felipe Nasr (Carlin) and Pietro Fantin (Hitech) were next, 0.313s and 0.541s off the pace respectively.
Carlin rookie Jack Harvey recovered from technical problems on the first day to round out the top six on day two, just 0.014s adrift of Fantin and 0.085s clear of reigning British Formula Ford champion Scott Pye (Double R).
Harvey's Carlin team-mates Jazeman Jaafar and Rupert Svendsen-Cook sandwiched Fortec's Lucas Foresti to complete a top 10 covered by just over eight tenths of a second on the 2.99-mile circuit.
