Hockenheim 2: Briscoe again

Australian Ryan Briscoe got his Formula 3 Euroseries campaign off to a flying start at Hockenheim today (Sunday) by winning his second race of the weekend

Although pole sitter Olivier Pla (ASM) got off the grid quicker, Briscoe (PREMA) simply drove around the outside of him at Turn 2 and raced away to a dominant victory. Pla fell behind Nico Rosberg (Rosberg) early on, but recovered his composure to repass and finish second.

Rosberg then dropped back to fifth, behind Pla's team-mate Alexandre Premat and Alexander Margaritis, but they got into a wheelbanging match that was always going to end in tears - and the tyrewall. As they sailed into the Sachskurve gravel, Rosberg took third ahead of Mucke team-mates Markus Winkelhock and Christian Klien.
