Hartley on pole for race two

Brendon Hartley put his recent struggles behind him to qualify on pole position for race two at Croft this weekend

The Kiwi hadn't got the best out of his Carlin Motorsport car so far this weekend but hooked everything up early in the second half hour session this afternoon and denied Marcus Ericsson his second pole of the day by 0.043 seconds.

Ericsson still qualified second, with Perez also relegated one place from this morning in third.

Carlin team-mates Oliver Turvey and Sam Abay both improved their positions from this morning, jumping up to fourth and fifth. Atte Mustonen also bettered his morning run with sixth place.

The Mygale runners suffered with Esteban Guerrieri the best in eighth while his Ultimate Motorsport team-mate Michael Devaney will start from the back having not set a time in the session.
