Hamilton Secures Pau Pole

Having already dominated free practice, the Brit secured a time more than one-tenth of a second quicker than Loic Duval.

However, Hamilton's ASM teammate Adrian Sutil will line-up alongside him on the front row for Round Four, thanks to Pau's qualifying format.

In order to allow drivers a session with less traffic, drivers were split into two, 20-minute sessions.

The drivers in Hamilton's 'faster' session will line up on the odd-numbered side of the grid, and drivers in Sutil's 'slower' session lining up on the even-numbered side.

Qualification for tomorrow's Round Three takes place tomorrow morning.
