Green Flag British F3 Championship standings
British Formula 3 points leader Antonio Pizzonia left Croft at the weekend with a slightly reduced championship lead, but still cannot be overhauled for at least two races
The Brazilian was put out at Croft, round eight of the championship, after two collisions. Tomas Scheckter made hay while the sun shone, finishing second to a flying Takuma Sato - who moves to a strong third in the series. Scheckter, now doubling up with his Formula 3000 commitments, earned a podium place to cut Pizzonia's lead to 30 points - with 20 available for a win.
Sato overhauled Stewart driver Narain Karthikeyan for third place, while RC Motorsport's Nicolas Kiesa moves to a single point behind the Madras-born driver after a podium position at Croft.
