European F3 Zandvoort: Felix Rosenqvist quickest in free practice
Felix Rosenqvist kicked off the Formula 3 European Championship weekend at Zandvoort by comfortably setting the fastest time in free practice

'Mr Zandvoort', twice a winner of the Masters of F3 at the Dutch circuit, took his Prema Powerteam Dallara-Mercedes around the sand-dune-lined track three tenths faster than team-mate Jake Dennis.
Rosenqvist was way ahead of the opposition when a red flag left quarter of an hour of running remaining, with most of the competitors fitting new tyres for a qualifying simulation.
Dennis came closest to Rosenqvist's time, closely followed by the Carlin Dallara-Volkswagen of Antonio Giovinazzi, Prema driver Lance Stroll, and the Van Amersfoort Racing Dallara-VW of Charles Leclerc, all of whom were within a few hundredths of each other.
Leclerc had topped the opening 40-minute session by 0.073 seconds from Stroll.
Sixth overall, and continuing his upward trajectory from the Norisring, was Carlin's George Russell, while T-Sport's Ecuadorean Julio Moreno was the surprise package of the morning in setting the seventh fastest time in his NBE-engined Dallara.
Alexander Albon (Signature) and Arjun Maini (VAR) were next, both of them surviving wide-on-the-grass excursions at the challenging Gerlachbocht and wobbling back onto the circuit, without hitting the barriers, at the following Hugenholtzbocht hairpin.
Rounding out the top 10 was the top Mucke Motorsport runner, Mikkel Jensen.
Motopark's Markus Pommer and Nabil Jeffri were third and fourth in the first session but slipped down the order in the second.
Their team-mate Sam MacLeod got only half a dozen laps in before his car caught fire, causing a red flag in the first session.
The stoppage in the second session was caused by a crash for Matt Solomon.
