Eight British Formula 3 drivers have been penalised for not respecting yellow flags during this morning's qualifying session at the Nurburgring
Hitech's Antonio Felix da Costa, Pedro Nunes and Kotaro Sakurai, Double R team-mates Scott Pye and Pipo Derani, T-Sport's Yann Cunha, Sino Vison's Hywel Lloyd, and Fortec's Fahmi Ilyas have all been hit with grid penalties for setting quick times while yellow flags were out when Sino Vision's Adderly Fong went off at Turn 6 early on in the session.
Da Costa, Nunes, Sakurai, Pye, Derani, Lloyd and Ilyas have all been demoted five places on the grid for today's opening race, while Cunha has been handed a 10-place grid penalty.
