Di Grassi on Pole for Race 2
Lucas di Grassi mastered a drying Nurburgring to set fastest time in the qualifying session for Sunday's second Euro F3 race
The Brazilian's Manor Motorsport Dallara hit the top of the timesheets with a few minutes remaining, narrowly pipping runaway points leader Lewis Hamilton by just over a tenth of a second.
Reigning McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner Paul di Resta ended the session in third, two hundredths of a second behind Hamilton.
The initial running in the session had been made by the Mucke Motorsport cars of Sebastian Vettel and Atila Abreu. But while the Brazilian slipped back to the bottom of the top 10 by the close, Vettel set his fastest time of the session in the dying seconds to grab fourth.
Hamilton's ASM teammate Sutil will start fifth, ahead of Marco Bonanomi.
