Antinucci makes team switch
Richard Antinucci is no longer a Carlin driver, as he will complete the British Formula 3 season with the rival Promatecme squad. The 22-year-old American hopes he may yet score a race victory in 2003 after the move
He has been confirmed to contest the remaining four rounds of the British Championship alongside current drivers Fairuz Fauzy and Can Artam. He also hopes to race in the end of season events in Macau and Korea.
Antinucci had become unhappy at Carlin, where he was team-mate to series leader Alan van der Merwe and Jamie Green, both of whom are multiple winners this year.
Promatecme team boss Chris Weller commented: "I'm delighted that Richard has decided to join us for the rest of the season. We're looking forward to working with him."
Carlin will replace Antinucci with Michael Keohane for the next round at Thruxton, but is not yet certain to race beyond that. Principal Trevor Carlin said, "We wanted someone fast in the car and Michael is a bit of a Thruxton specialist. He is a good friend of the team and there's half a chance he'll finish the season with us."
