Parente retains Coloni drive
Alvaro Parente will stay on at Coloni for the GP2 races at Monza next weekend
The 25-year-old Portuguese took Alberto Valerio's seat at the team for the round at Spa last weekend and finished on the podium in both races.
Following the strong showing, where he was the highest-scoring driver across both races, the team has decided to keep him in the car in Italy.
"This is a championship that I would like to do since the beginning of the season, but this year it wasn't possible to do it, so racing again with Coloni is fantastic," said Parente.
"I'll go to Monza with the same spirit that I showed at Spa-Francorchamps, confident the team will give me a car as quick as the one I had in Spa, which was one of the best I've ever driven.
"I'll try to fight for good results. The GP2 field is very competitive, so I can't promise podiums or wins, but I can guarantee that I'll give my best every time I'll be on track."
Parente is racing this weekend in Superleague Formula at Adria, for the FC Porto team.
