Grosjean on pole again in Monaco

GP2 championship leader Romain Grosjean continued his superb form to lead an all-Addax front row in Monaco qualifying

The Renault Formula 1 test driver, who took a pole, a win and a second place in the Barcelona season-opener and also topped this morning's practice session, beat his team-mate Vitaly Petrov by nearly half a second.

Grosjean was already on pole before throwing in his 1m19.498s lap with two minutes to go, putting the position beyond doubt.

ART's Nico Hulkenberg took third on his Monaco debut, followed by Fisichella driver Andreas Zuber and pre-season title favourite Lucas di Grassi (Racing Engineering).

Alvaro Parente gave the reconstituted Ocean team more reason for optimism with sixth place, while Piquet's Alberto Valerio celebrated a GP2 career-best ninth on the grid.
