It was interesting and chaotic qualifying from Interlagos in Brazil, with McLaren's Lando Norris taking pole from a very irate George Russell. With many surprises, it was easily one of the most entertaining qualifying sessions of the season. Some of the standout performances include Liam Lawson starting from 3rd, thanks to some penalties, and Nico Hulkenberg starting 4th in the Audi. Another incredible performance came from Fernando Alonso, who claimed into Q3, taking full advantage of the rain and chaos, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton not completing qualifying, due to penalties relegating them to the back of the grid regardless of performance, as Jake Boxall-Legge explains.
