Zonta and life on the buses
F1 newboy turned bus driver Ricardo Zonta has set his sights on qualifying in the top 10 for his home debut as a Grand Prix driver
'We had a good last test with the car but all the teams have achieved a better level since then and it is difficult to say what level we are at. I would like to qualify in the first ten and to finish would be very nice.'
The BAR driver is ducking out of the annual Sao Paulo GP cycle race after crashing his mountain bike.
'It was a bit frightening,' he said. 'I was going downhill and I have had a few stitches because I opened quite a big hole in my leg.'
If he is not up for a bike ride he is certainly up for taking the bus! Zonta waded in to help promote harmony in the Brazilian capital gripped for two-pre-GP days by a bus strike. 'I drove the normal route and had good fun,' he said. 'It's pretty difficult to drive a big wide thing like that and I kept going over the pavements to begin with.'
