Williams still confident of points finish

The Williams team are still confident of fighting for the point-scoring positions in tomorrow's Spanish Grand Prix despite a disappointing qualifying

Neither Mark Webber or Nico Rosberg managed to make it to the final part of qualifying, with the Australian having to settle for 11th place and the German qualifying in 13th.

Rosberg, however, believes a stronger race is in prospect and he is confident of fighting for his third finish in the points.

"We still seem to be missing something to get qualifying right and making it into the top ten and this is something we need to work on," said Rosberg, who finished seventh in the European Grand Prix last weekend.

"Our race pace so far this season has been quite alright though and I think tomorrow we should look quite good, especially with respect to our tyres.

"Both Mark and I are in good shape to collect some points in the race and we proved at the Nurburgring that we are able to make up positions into the points, even from the back of the field."

Webber admitted they were expecting to struggle to fight at the top this weekend, the Australian missing the final cut for the first time this season.

"We got a bit of idea in testing that maybe it was going to be a little bit difficult for us here, but you only really confirm this on the day, and we found out today that we are just a sniff away from getting into the top ten," said Webber.

"This is the first time this year that I didn't make it into the last ten by a small margin, but unfortunately we are not quick enough over one lap."
