Webber keeps his feet on the ground

After his fabulous effort to top the first Interlagos qualifying session on Friday, Mark Webber kept up the momentum by qualifying a Jaguar in the top three for the first time in the team's history

After the first two sectors of the lap, Webber looked like knocking Rubens Barrichello off pole position in front of his home crowd but lost a couple of tenths in the last sector.

"I also lost a bit of time at Turn 9," the Aussie admitted, "and was maybe carrying a bit less wing. It was still a good lap for us. I was very happy with the car. The way the new rules are, you have to stay reasonably conservative with the set-up and stick with the beast you know. She looked after me today! The boys said to me that we had to qualify in the top 10 but we weren't expecting to be third!"

Although the Jaguar may prove to be lighter than some of those cars around it in tomorrow's race, Webber denied that the team had qualified ridiculously light.

His assessment was: "We know we are on a two-stopper, the team has done a great job and we've worked well with Michelin. If we have a good race, good pit stops, we might be able to finish in the top six."
