Webber happy with top 10
Mark Webber was delighted to have made the top 10 in Sunday's French Grand Prix after a highly-competitive race that saw just two cars retire
The Australian brought his car home in ninth spot following an encouraging race for the R5 that saw Webber fight for position with the Williams of Juan Pablo Montoya and even beat his team-mate Marc Gene in the second Williams.
"Today's race was incredibly competitive with most teams both reliable and fast," he said. "The team has done an amazing job all weekend and to see us finishing both cars in 9th and 11th after only one retirement is really testament to the hard work we have been undertaking here at the track and back in the factory.
"There is no doubt that the R5 package is competitive and worthy of points finishes, you now just need to be perfect all weekend to get them since the competition is so tough."
Team-mate Klien finished his race two places down on Webber in 11th spot. It wasn't his highest finishing position of the season but the Austrian admits he feels more and more comfortable in his equipment as the season moves on.
"This weekend has really been a good step-forward for me as I feel everything is coming together," he said. "I have been gradually improving all weekend in my pace and to start 13th and finish 11th with a problem-free race is fantastic. I certainly raced hard and I was very pleased to be able to stay with my team-mate through most of the race. We both need to be finishing in the points and this is my goal"
