Trulli expects issues with Turn 8

The Italian suffered two identical right front suspension failures in Friday practice and Toyota subsequently had to make set-up changes to their car to avoid a repeat. Trulli and teammate Ralf Schumacher have also been advised to stay well away of the kerb at Turn 8.

But despite the risk of something going wrong again if he does hit the kerb, Trulli thinks he is in for a tough afternoon avoiding it.

"I'm always concentrating in Turn 8, more on not hitting the kerbs rather than being quick," said the Italian. "On the other hand, we are drivers and once we close the visor we forget everything.

"For sure it will be a problem (in the race) and I just hope I get it right. We know that if we run over it in a certain way it might cause a big problem."

"The problem is I know if I touch it, it might fail there. But it might not, and it would be even worse if it fails somewhere else."

When asked by autosport.com if he would continue racing if he did accidentally run across the kerb, despite the risk of an imminent suspension failure, Trulli said: "I have to carry on. We know that we have to keep away from it. It is not easy, but we have to."
