Trulli confident Toyota can bounce back

Jarno Trulli is confident that Toyota has not lost its way, despite a disappointing showing at the German Grand Prix

The Italian and team-mate Timo Glock failed to score any points at the Nurburgring, as Toyota saw its lead over Ferrari for third place in the Constructors' Championship shrink to 2.5 points.

But despite the outfit having failed to live up to its early season form in recent races, Trulli thinks that recent cold weather has hurt the outfit just as much as it has Brawn GP.

Looking ahead to Hungary, Trulli said: "Well, we can expect the temperatures to be a lot better than the Nurburgring, that's for sure. That should suit us well because generally our car is more competitive in warm weather.

"In the past we have done well in Hungary but every year is different so I don't know exactly what to expect. We are certainly pushing as hard as we can and the car has a lot more potential than the results in Nurburgring showed."

Trulli said that Toyota knew before practice had even begun in Germany that it would face a tough weekend.

"The weather was more like a winter test, with very low track temperatures and some rain, which didn't help us. Our car works best in warmer conditions so when we saw the weather forecast for the weekend we knew it wouldn't be ideal for us, and that's how it turned out."
