Sutil boosted by Force India test pace

Adrian Sutil believes his Force India team's hope of fighting for points in every race this year is realistic, following his impressive performance in this week's test at Jerez

Sutil set the second fastest time on Saturday and the fifth quickest overall at the test, and is confident in the potential of his car.

"It gave me a little extra push to see how the car is on the circuit. It was even better than I thought, so I am optimistic," he said.

"Our problem last year was that we were only really quick in certain places, like Belgium, where there are a lot of long straights. But now we have some efficient downforce, hopefully we're quicker on slower speed ones.

"That's one of those here at Jerez and it looks really well so I have a good feeling."

But Sutil says it's too soon to tell whether the team will be able to challenge for its maiden victory.

"It's a bit too early to say. I don't want to speak about victories or podiums," he said. "We'll try our best but you have to see where everybody else is.

"It's so hard to say which times are on which fuel. You can guess a little bit and you can see how a few teams are doing, but we're not far away. That's why I think we can achieve a lot of points this year."
