Sunday Warm-Up - Canadian Grand Prix

Olivier Panis, driving a BAR, was fastest in the Sunday morning warm-up for the Canadian Formula One Grand Prix.

The Frenchman, who broke both his legs in a big crash in Montreal in 1997, clocked a time of 1:18.512 - nearly three seconds slower than the pole position time set by Ferrari's Michael Schumacher on Saturday.

Drivers escaped mishap in the half-hour session used to fine tune set-up before the afternoon race.

Finland's Mika Hakkinen provided the only incident, bumping his McLaren across the gravel trap and over the track again before coming to a halt on the grass.

Two times champion Hakkinen, who has scored just four points so far this season, was fifth fastest while British teammate David Coulthard was second quickest.

Schumacher, who starts alongside the Williams of his brother Ralf on the front row, was sixth fastest. Brazilian Ricardo Zonta, standing in for unwell German Heinz-Harald Frentzen at Jordan, was third fastest in 1:18.545.
