Red Bull duo delighted with recovery

Red Bull Racing duo Mark Webber and David Coulthard were delighted with the recovery their team made from a difficult opening day of practice for the French Grand Prix to both qualify in the top 10

Webber and Coulthard had been worried about their chances after a far from easy first day of practice, but in the end Webber was eighth fastest with Coulthard just one place further back.

"I'm pretty happy with that," said Webber, who will line up seventh because of Lewis Hamilton's grid penalty. "Of course you always want a little bit more, but it could also have been worse for us, so it's okay.

"I had Jarno (Trulli) spinning in front of me on my first flying lap in Q3, so it all rested on my final one - but we got there. We've got both cars in the top ten, which is what want we wanted. Let's see what we can do from there tomorrow."

Coulthard, fresh from his podium finish in the Canadian Grand Prix, was doubly pleased with his showing because of the level of fuel he was carrying.

"It's been very close with Renault and also our sister team this weekend, both have been looking very quick, but in the end we have both our cars in the top ten," said the Scotsman. "I have a reasonable fuel load, so I'm pretty happy with my performance today."
