Ralf would welcome Trulli
Ralf Schumacher believes Jarno Trulli would be a good choice for Toyota next year and says he would happily welcome the Italian to the team
Schumacher has already signed a deal with the German-based team while the second seat remains up for grabs. Following Trulli's announcement that he was leaving Renault at the end of the year speculation began that the Italian was looking to Toyota to continue his F1 career.
"It would be a very good decision," Schumacher told Autosport. "I hope he will come, but I don't know. He's the only good driver left on the market, so he would be the obvious choice."
Toyota has had a miserable season this year and at the German Grand Prix brought in a heavily revised car which is hopes will turn around its season. Schumacher admits he has been observing his new team, but insists his full concentration is on Williams and the rest of his season.
"Well, obviously when I'm not so busy I can watch them, but at the end of the day for the next few races I will concentrate on Williams, because I'm still here. Once the season is finished, then I'll concentrate on the other project."
