Podcast: Analysing Hamilton's Ferrari testing debut

The latest episode of the Autosport Podcast covers Hamilton's maiden test runs in red

Lewis Hamilton logged his first laps aboard a Ferrari Formula 1 car at Fiorano today, as the seven-time world champion continued his familiarisation process with his new team.

Having not been released by Mercedes for the Abu Dhabi tyre test, which marked the end of the 2024 season, the 30 laps Hamilton completed on Wednesday aboard an SF-23 chassis from 2023 represented his first opportunity to sample Ferrari software and its hybrid powertrain.

The Briton afterwards hailed his first test as "one of the best feelings of my life".

In the latest episode of the Autosport podcast, Ben Hunt is joined by Filip Cleeren and Jake Boxall-Legge to discuss what Hamilton has been doing across his first three days in Maranello, the team he's putting together behind the scenes and the challenges he faces as he adapts to life in red.
