Paddy Power: Special offer on Ferrari

Perhaps the first thing you should know to help you on your way - and encourage you to bet somewhere other than Michael Schumacher! - is that Paddy Power will refund all losing bets on the San Marino Grand Prix if Ferrari take the first two slots on the podium, up to £200 per customer per bet. But really, what price Rubens finishing second?

Again, the most interesting punts don't involve Michael. Although it's always dangerous betting against him for the pole, a Williams-BMW is a pretty good bet but 15-8 on Montoya doesn't really grab you and if you go for 4-1 on Ralf, you are betting against both Michael and JPM. But, remember that Ralf was better than Juan Pablo here last year and won the race. Odds on 12-1 for a Ralf pole and win are worth a look. Evens on Ralf finishing fourth or better is also worth a thought - you're basically betting on him finishing the race.

Also, given the recent bad blood between Michael and Montoya, how about considering 8-1 on exactly two cars being out of the contest before the end of the opening lap. It's 11-10 on everyone making it around lap one, and 6-4 on one car going out. And even if Michael and JPM leave each other on, there's a good chance of at least a couple of cars beached at one of those Imola chicanes. Have a look at those 'one-lap wonder' odds.

Aerodynamics are important here, the McLarens are stronger in race trim and Kimi Raikkonen is 16-1 to set the fastest lap. A long shot, but good odds.
