Nico Rosberg denies Lewis Hamilton's claim of Spa crash admission

Hamilton was left furious that Rosberg crashed with him at Spa-Francorchamps, and revealed after the race that his German team-mate said in a post-GP debrief he intentionally chose not to pull out of his overtaking move when contact loomed because he wanted to 'prove a point'.

Rosberg himself insists, however, that what he actually said to Hamilton and the team in the meeting was different - although he drew short of clarifying the exact situation.

Speaking in his regular post-race video blog, Rosberg said: "I've been told what Lewis said in the press. He stated his version of the events.

"All I can say is that my view of the event is very different, but it's just better than I don't now give all the details of my opinion. I hope you respect that. I prefer to keep it internal."

Rosberg thinks there is little point dwelling on the detail of what happened in Belgium, and he hopes that talks due to take place this week will allow the team to move on.

"We had a very good discussion, an important discussion after the race and as it is when such things occur, we must sit down and review them," he explained. "That's what we did.

"Everybody gave his opinion and we need to move forward. There will be another discussion for sure. We just need to see if we need to change our approach in the future, as we did in Hungary, and we will do that.

"The good thing is that we have a very good relationship in the team, with Paddy [Lowe], Toto [Wolff] and with the help of Niki [Lauda].

"That's important in such situations and therefore I'm confident that, as always, we are going to find our way and keep on fighting at Monza."
