Massa: Title race completely open

The Ferrari driver is just two points behind McLaren's Lewis Hamilton with five races remaining and with their teams looking very evenly matched.

"I see it as pretty competitive," Massa said at Monza on Thursday. "When you see we are two points away and have five races in front of us, everything is completely open.

"We have 50 points (left) in the championship, which is quite a big difference compared to the gap we have.

"The battle is completely open and we saw this year there were races where Ferrari were better and other races where McLaren were a bit better. It is not easy to make a comment on which track we have an advantage or not."

Massa, who won the Belgian Grand Prix last Sunday after Hamilton was penalised, is confident Ferrari will be strong in their home race, but the Brazilian is aware that McLaren will be very competitive too.

"I think we had quite a good test here. I really hope that we can be very competitive. McLaren showed a very good performance in the test and also last year so it will be a big competition for sure.

"We are in the right direction in terms of preparing this race and trying to see if we can start already Friday and also Saturday morning with a reasonable set-up."
