Massa 'more relaxed' after maiden win

Brazilian Felipe Massa feels more relaxed after having scored his maiden Formula One win at the Turkish Grand Prix

The Ferrari driver, whose contract with the team runs out at the end of the year, took a dominant win after leading from pole position in the Istanbul race.

"For sure after you achieve victory things get much better," Massa told a news conference at Monza.

"You are for sure more motivated and also more relaxed, but now is the time to work even harder to carry on on this level, so I am happy with all the achievements and working hard for all the championships."

Massa continued with his strong form in last week's test at Monza, where he topped the times twice over the three days.

Now the Ferrari driver is upbeat for the Italian Grand Prix this weekend.

"I am really happy with my moment, especially taking the last five/six races I was always quite competitive, top three on the grid and winning the last race was really fantastic for me," he added.

"And even testing was really good, the car was behaving very well, very strong, good stability, good downforce and everything working well, so hopefully we can show the same performance this weekend.

"I think we are going to be strong and I am pretty confident that we can be very, very strong this weekend."
