Jag ace Webber continues points haul

Mark Webber finished in the points for Jaguar for the third race in succession despite a scare early on when he ran out of fuel just before his first pit stop. The Australian's performance means that the team has now moved to sixth place in the constructors' championship, just one point behind BAR-Honda

"I was actually catching the Renaults but I ran out of fuel in the last sector on the way to my first stop," said Webber. "We had a good car today and it performed very well indeed. We put some extra fuel in the car after that and I pushed very hard indeed.

"We are still learning and developing the package but three points is great news for the team. This is now the third race in succession that we have scored points. We know there is still much to play for and given how many teams are working on upgrade packages, we will keep pushing hard to the bitter end."

Antonio Pizzonia finished 10th for the third race running but he could have achieved much more: "The car was very good today but unfortunately my challenge for points was ended by the two-stop strategy of others.

"We know going into the race that there was always the risk of being caught in the traffic of those other teams on a different strategy and that's exactly what happened to me. My first pit stop was fine but after my second one, I got stuck behind Cristiano da Matta who was two-stopping. This cost me so much time and in the end, the front eight just peeled away and the gap became too big to close."
