Haug wary of Ferrari threat

Mercedes boss Norbert Haug has warned it would be wrong to under-estimate

Ferrari, despite the Italian squad's poor performances in recent races.
His note of caution came despite McLaren's Mika Hakkinen dominating all of the practice sessions held so far.

'I lot of people didn't expect Ferrari to be as strong at the Nurburgring
as they used to be, but I think they will be strong here,' he said.

'We will have to work very hard. You can never take winning for granted. It
is never easy to win.

'It is the wrong attitude to think it is a just a formality for us to deliver
a victory on Sunday.

'You have to keep your feet on the ground because things change quickly in
Formula One.

'I do not underestimate the opposition.'

It was put to Haug that his team had thrown away 50 points this year with mistakes by both the team and the drivers.

'That's a fair criticism - we have lost 46 points,' he responded. 'That's the name of the
game, it is much easier to make a little mistake than it is to win.'
