Grapevine: Monteiro to join Albers in Rotterdam
Tiago Monteiro will join his Midland teammate Christijan Albers and the rest of the MF1 team at the second-annual Bavaria City Racing road show in Rotterdam
The event, which takes place at the Dutch city on 20th August, is expected to draw in excess of 300,000 spectators.
"It's a great pleasure to be invited to such a gigantic event in Rotterdam," said Monteiro. "From what I've seen and heard, it's a huge party for the fans, and that's what motorsport should be about.
"I hope everyone will get a thrill out of seeing Christijan and I blast through the streets in the Midland M16. As for us drivers, it will be nice change of pace as we get to enjoy a bit of F1 without all the stress and pressure of actually competing!"
Herman Vaanholt, Promoter of Bavaria City Racing, added: "We are very honoured that Tiago will be joining Christijan for the demo here in Rotterdam.
"We really appreciate that he is taking the time to come to our event, and we are sure that all the Dutch fans will give him and the entire team a very warm and enthusiastic welcome."
