Grapevine: British GP offers a lap with Button

Formula One fans will have the opportunity to lap the Silverstone circuit with Honda driver Jenson Button this season

British Grand Prix organisers have announced that all fans purchasing a ticket for the event between 10 March and 1 May, will be entered into a prize draw to win a lap around Silverstone with Button doing the driving in a Honda car.

"Jumping in a Honda car with Jenson Button and being taken for a flying lap around Silverstone really is a once in a lifetime opportunity," said Richard Phillips, managing director of Silverstone Circuits Limited.

"Our Grand Prix circuit is renowned for being one of the fastest and most challenging in the world, and what better way to experience it than charging through Copse alongside one of the quickest and best drivers in Formula One?

"At Silverstone we are always looking to add value and entertainment for the fans; the lap ride opportunity with Jenson reaffirms this and clearly demonstrates our commitment to providing the best experience possible.

"We hope to be able to make a few more exciting announcements in the not too distant future."

Button added: "I'm glad to give something back to the fans together with Silverstone and I look forward to thrilling the three lucky winners with a hot-lap of the circuit in a Honda sports car."
