Ferrari's most difficult GP
Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn has admitted that the Monaco Grand Prix could be Ferrari's most difficult race so far in which to maintain the team's 100 percent victory record in 2004
Brawn says that apart from the tyre selection dilemma that the team faces (click on link below), there are other factors involved.
"The lack of potential for varying the race strategy here could make it difficult," Brawn said. "Once you've committed to your strategy, which means committed to qualifying, there's not a lot you can do in the race [because of the traffic].
"On top of that, there are the respective strengths of the Ferrari/Bridgestone package to consider. We can see from the split times at all the races so far that we are very competitive in the fast stuff and we're never quite so competitive in the slow stuff, so the performance of our package and Renault/BAR will be much closer here because Monaco is not a track that reflects the strengths of Ferrari. It may well be our most difficult race of the season."
