F1 teams get Mosley warning
Formula 1 teams will continue to fall foul of the law if they persist in pushing the regulations to the limit, according to motor racing chief Max Mosley
The FIA president said teams were inevitably going to break the rules by trying to get as close to the legal limit as possible.
The International Court of Appeal in Paris will meet on Monday to hear McLaren's appeal against David Coulthard's disqualification from second place in Brazil last weekend.
Speaking to The Express, Mosley said: "If there is a tolerance, as there is in this case, the teams tend to, instead of going for the measurement, go for the edge of tolerance.
"If you do that and go to the edge, there is the risk that you will go over it. That's a problem all the teams have, not just McLaren.
"They are going to the edge of what's permitted in the regulations in the search for performance and it's inevitable that every now and again one of them goes over."
