Drivers to Air Grievances Before European GP

Formula One drivers will get together to air their grievances before Sunday's European Grand Prix after controversial incidents in Monaco last weekend.

Briton Jenson Button complained about being held up in Monaco by slower cars, particularly the Toyota of Brazilian Cristiano da Matta, and said on Thursday that problems with marshals and backmarkers needed to be addressed.

"We need to talk about it in the drivers' briefing," said the Briton, second in Monaco. "We've got a GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers' Association) meeting as well and that will be talked about a lot.

"It was pretty bad in Monaco, there were a lot of cars that were in the way. The flag marshals didn't put their flags out early enough and when they did they weren't sure whether they were supposed to be out or not."

Ferrari's Michael Schumacher, the six-times World Champion who crashed in the Monaco tunnel behind the Safety Car in what may prove the most bizarre accident of the year, was also unhappy about the stewards' enquiry there.

"I did accept it but probably did not agree 100 percent," he said of the stewards' exoneration of Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya, the Williams driver he collided with.

"I'm sure the GPDA and drivers will discuss certain issues that happened over the weekend and we'll find out how much of a conclusion there can be drawn for the future."
