Coulthard in the dark on rules

David Coulthard has admitted that he is still unclear about what is acceptable bahaviour on a track in the eyes of FIA stewards

With grid penalties due to be imposed for infringements, drivers are seeking more clearly-defined rules. But Coulthard admitted that he is no clearer after today's drivers' briefing in Brazil.

"Charlie [Whiting] tried to clarify the rules which we race under," the Scot said, "but there's always a difficulty in defining what is acceptable and what isn't. It depends very much on camera angles and the use of them in the cars and so forth. It's always going to be a grey area.

"I tried to get some clarification in Malaysia and found it difficult to understand, and I'm not sure that what was explained today made it any easier to be honest. I will just race to what I believe are the rules and see what happens.

"I've seen things in the past that I think were unacceptable but have been let go, and other things that I think have been fine, but people have been pulled up for. So, in a way, I've given up trying to interpret what's going to happen..."
