Brundle, Blundell predict great year

Formula One is set for another vintage season in 2006, claims ITV commentating duo Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell

Speaking on stage at the Autosport International show, where they were announcing the latest developments to their 2MB management company, the pair said they were excited about what F1 holds for this year.

Blundell said: "It think it will be a great year, with the new engine configurations, different personnel and different drivers. F1 always throws something up and it never stands still.

"You always know something is going to come out of the bag and 2006 will be a great season."

Brundle added: "Formula One always has either a great year or a very good year. Even in the supposed poor years there are still some magical years and it is still a pleasure and a privilege for us to witness Michael Schumacher at the top of his game.

"I am trying to read the tests at the moment, but it is hard because some people are in detuned V10s, some are in old V10s, and some are in V8s. It will be another four of five weeks before we can understand the form book.

"But the cream always rises to the top, so I think it will be the usual suspects who will be at the front come the start of the season."
