BMW confirm Vettel for all remaining GPs

Sebastian Vettel will carry on with Friday practice duties for BMW-Sauber at the remaining three Grands Prix, the team confirmed today

Vettel, who is currently contesting the F3 Euroseries championship, was drafted as third driver by the Hinwill-based outfit at the Turkish Grand Prix last month.

He has since impressed in both Istanbul and Monza, where he topped the times of Friday practice for the Italian Grand Prix.

And the team decided to continue using his services for the upcoming final three rounds of the season, despite the fact that Vettel's F3 Euroseries schedule will now see him travel around the world in a short span of time.

The German is racing in Barcelona this weekend; after that he will fly straight to Shanghai for the Chinese Grand Prix, followed by the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka a week after.

He will then immediately return to Le Mans, for the penultimate round of the F3 championship; fly to Brazil for the final Formula One round; and back to Germany, where the F3 Euroseries final round will take place, at Hockenheim.
