BAR 'still on the right track'

BAR must not let its disappointing result in last Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix affect its progress towards winning a race this season, its technical chief Geoff Willis has told Autosport magazine

Following BAR's sensational testing pace at Barcelona during the winter, Takuma Sato and Jenson Button struggled to fifth and eighth places on Sunday, thus ending Button's three-race podium streak. Willis, meanwhile, thinks that the team has to regroup quickly as it has the potential to take the fight to Ferrari in next weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

"It was a little frustrating [at Barcelona] and we thought we'd be a lot faster," Willis told Autosport. "Things like this are quite healthy. We will go away from here and have a hard think about it. But, come on, let's put it in perspective. To come away with two cars in the points and to be disappointed is a healthy sign."

BAR was buoyed by its pitstop performance in Spain, as new procedures were put in place to stop the car rocking on the jacks, which was delaying the fuel hose's connection in previous races.
