Badoer still enjoying Ferrari job

Badoer has been Ferrari's test and reserve driver since 1998, after having raced for Minardi in 1999, Forti in 1996, Minardi again in 1995, and Lola in 1993.

But as the 35-year old Italian enters his ninth season as Ferrari's test driver, he claims he is still enjoying his job.

"Regardless of the nine years and the thousands of kilometers done I don't need to find the stimuli because I've never lost them," he said. "My job is always very interesting, especially because the car I develop is a Ferrari, for me it's exciting every time I step in it."

And Badoer admits only if he got the opportunity to race with a competitive team he would consider leaving Ferrari.

"For sure, it's better to race than to be a test driver, but only if you do it in a top team, if you have the opportunity to win," said Badoer. "Only in that case it's better to be a race driver.

"I had the opportunity during last year but didn't accept it because I had already raced with Minardi and other teams and I think it's not a good opportunity. So to have the opportunity to race with a top team that would be better, otherwise it's better just to test in a team like Ferrari."
