Alesi fights back
Arrows driver Pedro de la Rosa put the blame on Jean Alesi for the pair's coming together on lap two of the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday. However, Alesi has condemned de la Rosa's overtaking move at the Campsa corner which landed both cars in the gravel
"Pedro de la Rosa tried to overtake me in a place where nobody has ever succeeded in passing before," said Alesi.
"I didn't understand what was happening. I felt a big shock on the side of my car and I found myself in the gravel, which finished my race on the first lap."
"We are very unhappy with this weekend for various reasons," added team boss Alain Prost.
"Again, we had too many problems to be able to hope for an improved performance, but the frustration which we feel will not stop us from working very hard and continuing to work in the right direction."
From Wednesday, Prost will be back on track at the test session at Magny-Cours to continue with the intensive test programme the team are committed to.
