Arrows upbeat despite tricky test
Arrows will head to next week's Canadian Grand Prix full of hope that it can score points for the third time in four races, despite a frustrating test at Silverstone
The team ran at the British track for two days this week, with Enrique Bernoldi lapping in a single A23. But a minor technical problem and intermittent rain limited his amount of dry running. But the Brazilian did manage to set Arrows' fastest ever lap around Silverstone.
Chief race engineer Graham Taylor said: "I think it would be fair to say we come away slightly frustrated and somewhat disappointed that we weren't able to complete our full test programme here - the weather certainly was a factor in that. But we were able to carry out a lot of work for Cosworth which we are pleased about."
Heinz-Harald Frentzen has scored both of the team's 2002 points, with sixth places at the Spanish and Monaco Grands Prix. Last year, he failed to make the start in Montreal when he crashed his Jordan heavily during Friday practice.
